GeoSanpo Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS application “GeoSanpo” (formerly “Geo Wander”) provided by SOICHI SATO (“Service Provider”).

1. Information the Application Accesses and Why

The Application accesses the following information:

• Precise location: Used to show your current location, set an adventure area, calculate the distance to a destination, record your walking route, and save game history.
• Motion and step data: Used to display steps taken during a game and save them in game history.
• Photos: Used to take a commemorative photo, choose a photo from the photo library, and create a share image. When you grant permission, an original photo taken with the in-app camera is saved to your photo library.
• Game history and app settings: Destination and answer locations, walking routes, steps, play dates, onboarding status, and similar information are stored on your device.
• Purchase and subscription information: Apple StoreKit is used to purchase, restore, and verify the status of the Pro plan. The Application verifies transaction information supplied by Apple on the device.

Photo compositing, distance calculations, step processing, and storage of game history are performed on your device. The Service Provider does not upload this content to its own server.

The Application does not serve advertising, track users across apps or websites, or sell user data.

2. Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services for maps and Street View:

• Google Maps Platform: To display maps and Street View, Google may process coordinates for areas you view or request, technical information about the device and app, usage information, and diagnostic or performance data.

• Apple platform services: The Application uses iOS services including MapKit, Core Location, Core Motion, and the photo library.

• Apple StoreKit: Used for Pro purchases, restoration, auto-renewal, and subscription-status checks. Apple processes payment information; the Service Provider does not obtain credit-card or similar payment details through the Application.

If you use the share feature to send an image to another app or service, that destination’s terms and privacy policy apply to its handling of the image.

Version 2.0.0 and later do not include RevenueCat and manage the Pro plan only through Apple StoreKit. Older versions may use RevenueCat to manage the Pro plan.

3. Permissions and Your Choices

Access to location, motion, camera, and the photo library is based on permissions you grant through iOS. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Some features may not work if a required permission is denied.

4. Retention and Deletion

• Game history is stored on your device and can be deleted from the “History” screen in the Application.
• App history and settings can also be removed by uninstalling the Application.
• Original photos saved to your photo library are stored separately from the Application and must be deleted using Apple’s Photos app.
• Information processed by third-party services is retained according to each service’s policies.

5. Disclosure Required by Law

The Service Provider may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or a lawful request from a court or government authority, or to protect the safety and rights of users or third parties, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 through its own servers. A parent or guardian with concerns may contact the Service Provider using the details below.

7. Security

The Service Provider uses reasonable safeguards to protect information handled by the Application. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Application, laws, or related requirements. Material changes will be communicated on this page or within the Application.
